Curriculum Development and Training Associate
Dr. Erb has over 20 years of school administrative experience engaging daily in academic leadership, curriculum development, and resource management. He has extensive work in recruiting and retaining faculty and students of color with a focus on belonging and inclusion. Through his efforts, his school has achieved 20% gains in student cultural diversity and 10% gains in faculty diversity. Dr. Erb leads DEIB training on inclusive diversity, psychological safety, unconscious bias, and trust-building within teams.
Dr. Erb is a former teacher within Chicago Public Schools. He achieved National Board Certification (NBPTS) in Early Adolescence/English Language Arts while teaching grades 4-8 over a 10-year period. Dr. Erb led a joint project with the Illinois Writing Project and Tuskegee Airmen veterans. He received administrative certification from Illinois State University and partnered with the Annenberg Foundation.
Dr. Erb holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia (2020) with a dissertation focused on developing teacher leaders. He engaged in extensive course work on culturally responsive teaching and racial inequities within the educational system. He holds a master of Arts and Teaching from National Lewis University in Evanston, IL, and bachelor’s degree in English literature from DePauw University.
Dr. Erb is the CEO & Founder of Aspiring Christian Leaders, a leadership development company designed to encourage and equip leaders around the world. Services include leadership development, podcast programming, and diversity training, partnering most recently with the United States Navy and the Department of Homeland Security.
